Sheboygan Falls New Building Maintenance Loan Program
The new loan program has been established to stimulate routine exterior building improvements that are completed in a timely manner within the context of established historic design principals. Loans of up to $1,000 at 0% interest will be available for all commercial buildings within the BID District boundaries. Loans must be repaid within a 12-month period. Applications are available by contacting the CMS office.
Kohler Co. to expands
Kohler Co. officials on Wednesday announced plans to expand the company’s generator manufacturing plant in the Town of Mosel and to also add 300 jobs over the next three years in Mosel, Kohler and Saukville.

In its ninth annual survey of CEO opinion about the best and worst states in which to do business, 736 CEOs—the highest response on record—rendered their verdict. Business leaders were asked to grade states with which they are familiar on a variety of competitive metrics that CEOs themselves regard as critical. These include: 1) taxation and regulation; 2) quality of workforce; and 3) living environment. The tax and regulatory grade includes a measure of how CEOs grade a state’s attitude toward business, a key indicator.
Northshore Clinic opens new location
Northshore Clinic celebrated its new location at 805 N. 6th St., Sheboygan, with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, April 25. Northshore Clinic is a locally-owned mental health clinic providing counseling for individuals, couples and families in the Sheboygan area since 1991.

Improved economy, pent-up demand have builders optimistic
Homebuilders say they’re seeing a strong uptick in demand for new homes in Sheboygan County as the housing market as a whole bounces back.
Demand for new homes began to pick-up early last year, as existing homes sales climbed to their highest point since before the housing market collapse. Homebuilders say that’s helped the market for new construction, as people who’ve been wanting to build are finally able to sell their existing homes.
